Welcome Cake Line's website. We’re a small, community-focused café nestled within a dojo space, where conversations flow as freely as the tea. By accessing this website, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. These terms are designed to clarify how we operate and what you can expect when engaging with us online or in person.
1. About Cake Line
Cake Line is an open space kitchen located in The Dojo Norwich building, offering a selection of sweet food prepared on site, hot drinks, and other items.
This website is for informational purposes only and does not facilitate online ordering, reservations, or e-commerce.
2. Use of the Website
- This website is intended to provide information about our café, menu, ethos, and updates.
- You agree not to misuse the website or attempt to disrupt its functionality.
- All content is provided “as is” and may be updated or changed without notice.
3. Refund Policy
- When a purchased product does not meet the expectations, the customer will be offered an alternative (for example, we will make another coffee).
- Customers have to explain the reason for refusing the alternative product.
- Customers have to explain the reason for requesting a refund if staff does not offer the refund on request after an alternative product has been refused.
- Refunds are rarely considered and are only considered at the moment of sale or while the customer is still present in the café with their order.
- Unfortunately, a refund will not be issued a second time for the same customer on a subsequent visit, unless the customer reasonably believes that serious food safety procedures were not followed.
- Bonsai Café reserves the right to assess each refund request individually and make decisions accordingly.
4. Allergen and Dietary Information
- Bonsai Café by Cake Line operates with minimum equipment and limited storage, and therefore cannot guarantee that any food item is completely allergen-free.
- We take allergen cross-contamination seriously and follow rigorous food handling procedures as well as food hygiene norms, otherwise presented in our 5 star rating Food Safety Certificate.
- Customers with allergies or intolerances must inform staff when placing their order.
- Bonsai Café by Cake Line can cater to specific dietary needs only if the order is placed at least three days in advance, and depending on the food item requested.
- We reserve the right to inform customers whether we can fulfil their request, based on the severity of the dietary requirements and our available resources.
5. Payment Methods
- Payments are accepted in person only, via cash or card.
- Payments are to be made at the point of sale in the café for both café orders or wholesale orders.
- For some wholesale orders, payments need to be made via bank transfer upon receipt of invoice.
- We do not currently offer online payments or digital ordering.
